Y-Cycle
Co-creating personal portfolio websites with young people from four countries.
- Type
- Erasmus+ Youth Exchange
- Place
- Elafonisos, Greece
- Dates
- 24 September to 3 October 2026
- Participants from
- Greece, Romania, Hungary, Portugal
- My role
- Facilitator of the portfolio co-creation
Ask a young person what they are good at and you often get a shrug. Ask them to build a website about it, and something changes.
Context
Y-Cycle brings together young people from Greece, Romania, Hungary and Portugal for ten days in Elafonisos, a small island in the south of the Peloponnese.
One thread of the exchange is a personal portfolio website for every participant, co-created step by step, with the making itself as the learning.
The challenge
Articulating your experience, skills and ambitions is hard at any age. For young people it is harder still: the experiences feel small, the skills have no names yet, and the ambitions are private.
A CV form does not help with any of that. We needed a process in which the articulation itself is the learning, and in which the result is something a young person is proud to show.
The approach
Instead of teaching web design, we use the website as a reason to think. Three questions, one page.
What have I done?
Experience. Participants collect what they have actually done, in and out of school, and discover it is more than they thought.
What can I do?
Skills. We find the words for what they can do, in their language and in English, so that others can understand it.
Where am I going?
Ambitions. Each person decides what they want next and how the page should say it.
Build it together
The site takes shape with support from the group and from AI tools for drafting and code. The decisions stay with the young person.

Planning a youth exchange where young people make something real?
I design and facilitate learning tracks in which young people create, question and present their own work. Let us talk about yours.
